Macrame Art - W hotel Riyadh

Sarmad | Handcrafted Macramé and Glass Art Installation

Luxury hotels are increasingly using custom woven artwork, textile installations, fabric wall art, macramé art, and mixed-media installations to create interiors that feel distinctive, cultural, and memorable.

Sarmad | سرمد is a bespoke woven art installation created for W Hotel Riyadh, combining handcrafted macramé with delicate glass elements to form an immersive composition of texture, light, movement, and craftsmanship.

Created in collaboration with renowned Saudi artist Abdulnasser Gharem, Sarmad demonstrates how traditional textile techniques can be transformed into a contemporary architectural artwork for a luxury hospitality environment.

Every knot is handcrafted. Every woven line contributes to the rhythm of the installation. The glass elements interact with natural and architectural light, creating changing reflections and shadows throughout the day.

The result is more than decorative fabric art. It is a large-scale spatial experience designed to become part of the hotel interior itself.

From Artist Concept to Finished Installation

Glass art

Our strength is our ability to transform an artistic concept into a technically achievable installation.

A project may begin with an artist’s sketch, an interior designer’s concept, a reference image, a material sample, or an entirely new idea.

Our production team can then develop the artwork through material research, sampling, prototyping, technical detailing, fabrication, handcrafting, quality control, logistics, and final installation.

We are not limited to one material or production technique.

Alongside textiles and fabrics, Signature Line works with metal, wood, glass, marble, stone, resin, fiberglass, mosaic, leather, gypsum, and mixed media, allowing us to execute highly customized artworks and complex artistic installations.

Textile Art for Luxury Hospitality Interiors

Woven and fabric artwork can bring softness, movement, craftsmanship, and cultural depth into hospitality interiors.

For hotel lobbies, reception areas, restaurants, corridors, guestrooms, lounges, spas, and public spaces, textile installations can be designed as architectural focal points rather than simply decorative objects.

They can respond to local heritage, brand identity, landscape, traditional crafts, or the wider interior design concept.

For Sarmad, handcrafted macramé introduces warmth and tradition, while glass brings transparency, reflection, and light. Together, the materials create a contemporary installation rooted in craft.

At Signature Line, we do not begin with a catalogue of standard products.

We begin with the idea.

Our team studies the design and determines how it can be fabricated, engineered, finished, transported, and installed while maintaining the integrity of the original creative vision.

This allows us to work with artists, architects, interior designers, hospitality consultants, developers, hotel operators, procurement teams, and art consultants on one-of-a-kind commissions.

Whether the requirement is a woven feature wall, monumental fabric installation, suspended artwork, textile sculpture, mixed-media piece, or an entirely new concept, our team can develop the production solution around the design.
